Meet Dr. Shandon Thompson
Dr. Shandon Thompson, clinic director of Restore Health of Va, is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine since 1992.
Dr. Thompson is a Virginia native, receiving his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in Health Education and another in Human Biology. He received his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 1992 from the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois. His postgraduate education includes advanced certification from the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians along with extensive study in sports and car accident injuries, along with regenerative tissue therapies like platelet rich plasma injections.

I began treatment with Dr. Thompson at Restore Health a few months ago. I had a neck/shoulder injury which I struggled with for 11 years. It was only getting worse with time. I had been to physical therapy a number of times over the years without significant improvement. I am shocked, surprised and so happy to say that my pain has decreased, my movement improved and I feel like my old self again. I recommend Dr. Thompson at Restore Health without any hesitation. Not only do I see great improvement but he and the staff are honest, really helpful and friendly. It’s a pleasure to go to my appointments.
11/16/22 This is a second review: I unfortunately ended up with a lower back injury from a sports related accident. Once again I am totally impressed with Dr. Thompson and his team and would recommend them without hesitation. Restore Health is a friendly, reliable office and Dr. Thompson a highly skilled chiropractor.

He is a very knowledgable doctor. Everytime i go there, he takes the time to listen to my concerns and address it. Dr.Thompson's spine decompression process literllay saved me from doing a surgery for my lower back. Dr.Thompson is God Sent health care provider for hunreds of people. Dr.Thompson's office therapists, equipments does fantastic job to resolve any back and neck problems. I have referred many of my collegues and friends and they were happy that they found Dr.Thompson. Doctor cares about the well being of patients and family members. He is a Gem!

I came to Restore Health for a lower back problem. After the first visit, a comprehensive diagnostic was communicated to me and a 6 week recovery plan was suggested including a broad range of therapy sessions, exercises, corrective devices, supplements, and knowledge sharing. With the help of Restore Health's courteous and professional staff I was able to recover in full and go back to practicing sports while keeping any discomfort under control. I highly recommend Dr. Thompson and his team!

I've been seeing Dr. Shandon Thompson with Restore Health of Virginia for over 25+ years. He is not your average chiropractor. He takes the time to listen to you and asks you questions to determine what is causing the problem, explains to you why you are feeling the way you are, and what the best treatment plan is for you. I put my complete trust in him, and I know he has his patients health in his best interest. No matter what my aches and pains are, I know Dr. Thompson as a solution. He is up-to-date on treatment plans and continues to learn more every day with training, classes, and seminars. His office staff is professional and friendly, and they welcome you with a smile on their faces when you enter the office. I don't just consider Dr. Thompson, my chiropractor, but a friend as well.
